For the 2nd time, Mannheim artists open their studios to the general public. 50 Mannheim artists provide an insight into the most diverse production spaces in which art is created.
Sculptors', draughtsmen's, painters' and photographers' studios, printing workshops and the spaces of video and performance artists will be open to visitors from 15 - 17 July and will enable a tour of Mannheim's art scene: Schwetzinger Stadt, Almenhof, Lindenhof up to the studio house in Güterhallenstraße, Friesenheimer Insel, but also Jungbusch, Quadrate, Neckarstadt and even as far north as Mannheim to Franklin.
The experiment, the studio tour, means being in motion, looking in briefly or staying longer, talking to the artists, collecting impressions and taking them home with you.
Art lovers have the opportunity to see all the production sites and observe and interview the creatives at work in familiar surroundings - close-ups that are otherwise hidden or inaccessible.
