Finally some decent new music! Yeah, well, some might say the first Drangsal record is pretty retro (you can definitely hear some Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cure and other 80s indie influences), but hey, retro is exactly G\u00f6tz's thing. Drangsal executes that superbly and still manages to sound unique. We are big fans!<\/p>\n<p>Experts will recognize that the gigposter for the Drangsal Show at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uebelundgefaehrlich.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00dcbel &amp; Gef\u00e4hrlich Club<\/a> during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reeperbahnfestival.com\/en\/frontpage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reeperbahnfestival<\/a> is an homage to old The Smiths record covers. A good looking boy from the 50s in monochrome colors, just like a black and white photograph. Here it is an illustration of course. The young lad is not James Dean who The Smiths would have picked, but a young Peter Kraus - Drangsal is a German band after all.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just like Drangsal's first record, the illustration is inspired by old The Smiths record.
